Terri Meier will be joining UAMS as our new assistant vice chancellor for revenue cycle on Jan. 16, 2023. In this role, she will be responsible for the overall functions of the UAMS revenue cycle including coding, hospital and physician billing, collections, health information management, financial clearance, provider enrollment, denials management, revenue integrity, and clinical documentation improvement.

In this role, he is responsible for the overall strategic and operational functions of the UAMS Office of the Supply Chain which includes procurement, travel, contracting, strategic sourcing, value analysis, warehousing, distribution, and supplies management.

John Imig, Ph.D., joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the UAMS College of Pharmacy, effective Sept. 29, 2022.

Stacy Zimmerman, M.D., will join the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as the regional centers designated institutional official.
Arabinda Choudhary, M.D., M.B.A., FACHE,
Arabinda Choudhary, M.D., M.B.A., FACHE, has been named chair of the Department of Radiology in the UAMS College of Medicine. He will join the faculty on August 1, 2020, following the retirement of current chair James McDonald, M.D.
“Dr. Choudhary brings extensive experience as a clinical, executive and academic leader at top tier hospitals,”

Cindy Stowe, Pharm.D.
Cindy Stowe, Pharm. D., has been named dean of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy effective July 29, 2019.
Stowe was on the UAMS faculty for nearly 20 years, from 1995-2014. Since 2014, she has been dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. She also served as that university’s associate provost since 2018.

Trenda Ray, Ph.D., RN
Trenda Ray, Ph.D., RN, has been named chief nursing officer and associate vice chancellor for patient care services for UAMS Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
She is responsible for ensuring quality nursing care and has executive oversight for the hospital’s nursing units, respiratory care, international services and pastoral care. She also is responsible for the care management team, including hospital and outpatient services, the inpatient psychiatric social work team, and community health advocates.
Susan Long, Ed.D.
Longtime educator and administrator Susan Long, Ed.D., has been named dean of the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
Long, a UAMS faculty member since 1992, had been serving as interim dean since the retirement of Douglas L. Murphy, Ph.D., on Dec. 31, 2017. She has also been associate dean for academic affairs since 2012, which she continued while serving as interim dean.
Paul H. Phillips, M.D.
Paul H. Phillips, M.D., has been appointed chair of the Department of Ophthalmology in the College of Medicine and director of the Harvey & Bernice Jones Eye Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
“Dr. Phillips brings exceptional strengths to his new post as a highly respected leader in pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, and neuro-ophthalmology, and as a member of our faculty for the past 22 years,” said Christopher T. Westfall, M.D., executive vice chancellor of UAMS and dean of the College of Medicine. “He is widely known for his expertise and compassion in treating children and adults and has also garnered accolades for his teaching, mentoring, and contributions to research.”
